Using the workspace
ViewCSV provides a browser tool for inspecting and editing CSV and TSV files. You are responsible for having permission to use the files you open. Do not use the service to violate others' rights or interfere with the site.
Files and limits
Files are processed locally in your browser. The current import limit is 25 MB, 100,000 data rows, 250 columns and 2 million cells. These limits help keep your browser responsive. Browser memory and device capabilities may impose lower practical limits.
Editing and exports
Changes stay in memory until you download them. Refreshing or closing the page clears your working copy. Keep your original files and review downloaded results before relying on them. CSV formula protection is enabled by default and can add an apostrophe to formula-like values when exporting for spreadsheets. JSON exports retain the underlying values.
Availability
The tool is offered as available, without a promise of uninterrupted access or suitability for a particular purpose. Verify results independently for important work. The operator may update the software or limits over time.
