How ViewCSV handles files and website analytics.

Your files
CSV and TSV files are parsed in a Web Worker in your browser. Pasted text, edits, filters and exports are processed on your device. The CSV workspace does not upload file contents to our servers or save them to a cloud account. Closing or refreshing the page clears your working table. Download a copy before leaving if you want to keep edits.
Website analytics
When configured by the operator, this site uses Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Plausible to understand page visits and usability. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity load after you accept the cookie banner. You can change your choice using Cookie settings in the footer. Plausible may run without analytics cookies.
The workspace, filenames, pasted text, table values and error details are marked for Clarity masking. We do not intentionally send file contents, search text or filenames as analytics events. Third-party services can still receive connection information such as device, browser and IP address when their scripts load. Masking is not a security boundary: only open sensitive files in an environment you trust.
Cookies and technical logs
The site stores your cookie choice and language/theme preferences. Hosting infrastructure may log requests, timestamps, browser details and network addresses to operate and protect the site. The CSV workspace requires no account or payment. Optional account features inherited from the application framework are separate from local file processing.
Your choices
Reject optional analytics or change your choice through Cookie settings. If you withdraw permission after analytics has loaded, the page reloads to stop loading those scripts. This also clears unsaved table edits; download your work first.
